Fire Prevention Week

Save the Date for Fire Prevention Week

Join members of the Redmond Fire Department the week of Oct. 9, as we partner with the National Fire Protection Association to celebrate 100 years of Fire Prevention Week. On Saturday, Oct. 15, an open house will be hosted at Redmond Fire Station 11 (8450 161st Avenue NE) from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Attendees can meet Redmond firefighters, go on station tours, and see live demos. Redmond 2050 Advisory Committee

Join the Redmond 2050 Community Advisory Committee

The City of Redmond is seeking two youth members for the Redmond 2050 Community Advisory Committee (CAC), which brings diverse voices together to help shape the future of Redmond. The CAC will provide input on topics such as land use, capital facilities, the natural environment, community character, and historic preservation. Youth members must be in grades 9-12 and live in Redmond, attend school in Redmond, or both. Applications are due by Oct. 2.

Apply Now for Best Starts for Kids Childcare Subsidy

Best Starts for Kids is accepting applications for childcare subsidies for income-qualified families in King County. Complete an eligibility form today to see if your family qualifies for the selection pool. By the end of September, families will be notified if they have been selected to complete the full application.

Help Shape the Future of Redmond

Do you or someone you know want to get involved with Redmond’s future growth, neighborhood planning, infrastructure, the environment, and more? The City is seeking applications for one vacancy on the Planning Commission. The position is open to those who live within Redmond city limits. Interested community members are encouraged to apply by 5 p.m. on Oct. 9.

Attend Free Business Classes

Startup 425 provides free business education courses for those looking to start a business, as well as small business owners needing a refresher. A series of five online classes will provide the foundation to successfully start your business. The series kicks off on Oct. 4. Take one or all, depending on individual need.
