Redmond Appoints Laura Da’ as New Poet Laureate
The Redmond City Council has appointed Laura Da’ as Redmond’s new poet laureate for 2022-23. Da’ is Eastern Shawnee, a poet, a teacher, and a lifetime resident of the Pacific Northwest. The Redmond Poet Laureate Program builds a more literate and understanding community through poetry and the literary arts by broadening the awareness of poetry and expressing the spirit of Redmond culture.

This class, for ages 18+, gives participants the opportunity to select a project based on interest, using mediums such as metal embossing, watercolor, brushless painting, and sculpture. All skills levels are welcome!

Indoor rentals are available now through Apr. 30 during normal operating hours at the Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village. There are a variety of rooms to accommodate community celebrations, birthday parties, and business meetings.
