Redmond Police Reopen 10-Year-Old Case

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

November 22, 2021

Police news update

REDMOND, Wash. - Redmond Police are reopening a 2011 case involving the disappearance of a Redmond resident.

Lorill Sinclaire was last seen on Nov. 8, 2011, near Factoria Mall. She has not been heard from since that date, which according to those who know her, is uncharacteristic.

Her car, a burgundy 1991 Ford Escort, was found the same day in the 4200 block of 124th Avenue Southeast, not far from the mall. She was not in the car.

Sinclaire was reported to be visiting her boyfriend in the area before her disappearance. On Dec. 10, 2011, approximately 70 Search and Rescue volunteers with King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties searched a wooded area around Coal Creek Parkway and Factoria Boulevard in Bellevue for clues. The search produced no evidence.

Sinclaire was born on April 30, 1963. She was 49 years old when she went missing.

The investigation has gone in various directions, with detectives following many different leads. Since there have been no signs of activity or communication with her, investigators suspect foul play.

The case eventually went cold until police reopened it this year on the 10th anniversary of Sinclaire’s disappearance.

“We have more technology at our disposal that didn’t exist in 2011. We are using this technology to work to solve her case and bring closure to her family,” said Investigations Sergeant Jesse Bollerud with Redmond Police.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help with any recollection or new information related to Sinclaire’s disappearance. If there are any new leads, please call 425-556-2500.
