Adopt A Drain

Adopt a Redmond Storm Drain

The City is excited to launch Adopt-a-Drain, a new program which invites community members to adopt a storm drain in their neighborhood and keep it clear of debris. Free flowing drains reduce flooding and keep pollution from entering Redmond’s rivers, lakes, and streams. Adopt a drain yourself, as a family, or with neighbors and friends!

Reusable Bags

Plastic Bag Ban Begins

A statewide ban on single-use plastic bags went into effect on October 1. Every year Washingtonians use two billion single-use plastic bags that become a major pollution source in Washington’s waterways, roadways, and environment, and create big problems in the recycling system. The ban also seeks to encourage the use of reusable bags whenever possible.
