Take Part in Public Hearing for Zoning Code Rewrite
The City of Redmond Planning Commission is continuing its public hearing on September 22, at 7 p.m. for Phase 1 of the Redmond Zoning Code (RZC) Rewrite. The Rewrite involves a comprehensive, four-phase enhancement and periodic update of the City’s development regulations.The last significant reformatting and restructuring of the Zoning Code occurred in 2011.
Have you had a chance to review the draft Community Strategic Plan 2021 update?Your feedback is essential to the plan. Please review and complete a short questionnaire by September 26. Your input will be used to finalize this roadmap to the City’s major community-based initiatives.
Green Redmond works with community members to improve the health of parks and natural areas throughout Redmond. Attend a virtual open house Wednesday, September 22 from 6 – 8 p.m. to learn more about their work in our communityand how you can get involved to help keep Redmond’s forests healthy.
King County will start construction on a 4.5-mile-long sewer pipe upgrade in 2024. Join the County and the City at a virtual neighborhood meeting on Thursday, September 30, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. to learn more.Meeting topics will include schedule, trail detours, traffic impacts, and fish and wildlife protection.
King County Metro and Sound Transit are seeking public feedback on conceptual bus changes to serve riders with faster and more frequent connections. Please take the online surveywhich is open nowthrough October 18. The community is also invited to attend a virtual open house on September 29.
