A Redmond Arts Season grantee, Black Cinema Collective, will project two short films outside on the Buoyant Pavilion in Downtown Park every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in September from 8 – 10 p.m. Between the Frames is a film program engaging stories of human connection.
Input Requested on Community Strategic Plan Update
Redmond community members are invited to review the draft Community Strategic Plan 2021 update, and to provide feedback to Mayor Birney and City Council. Please review and complete a short questionnaire by September 26. Your input will be used to finalize this roadmap to the city’s major community-based initiatives.
Recycling your Styrofoam has never been easier! The City of Redmond is partnering with Ridwell to offer free Styrofoam recycling collection right from your front door. Pickup dates are September 14 and 28 for those residing within Redmond city limits.
Join Public Hearing on Redmond Zoning Code Rewrite
The Redmond Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on September 8 at 7:00 p.m. on phase 1 of the Redmond Zoning Code (RZC) Rewrite. This process involves a comprehensive, four-phase enhancement and periodic update of the city’s development regulations. The last significant reformatting and restructuring occurred in 2011.
Construction on the Overlake Access Ramp has begun and is estimated to be completed in 2023. This Washington State Department of Transportation project provides direct access from eastbound SR 520 to local streets in the Overlake Village neighborhood.
