Redmond Police arrest Traffic Control Flagger for Assault after he shoots at vehicle.

June 4, 2021

REDMOND, Wash. - On June 4, 2021 at 12:35 pm Redmond Police responded to NE Turing St and 156 Ave NE for a report of an altercation between a Traffic Control Flagger and a delivery driver.  The incident quickly escalated before police arrived and the 62-year-old Traffic Control Flagger fired a gun at the delivery driver’s vehicle, hitting a hubcap.  Neither party was injured during the incident.

The privately hired Traffic Control Flagger holds a valid Washington Concealed Pistol License. 

Redmond Police Investigators determined the Traffic Control Flagger aimed his personally owned firearm at the delivery driver and then shot at the vehicle.  He was placed under arrest for felony Assault 2nd Degree and transported to the King County Jail.
