On May 4, Governor Inslee announced that King County will remain in Phase 3 with a two-week pause before determining the county’s next phase in the state’s Roadmap to Recovery plan. Visit kingcounty.gov/COVID for more information.

Construction of the Redmond Pool is complete, and the pool is now open with some restrictions, in accordance with the Healthy Washington Roadmap to Recovery plan. Come see and feel the difference. Learn more about the project and improvements at redmond.gov/Pool.

Take a One Question Poll Regarding Police Cameras

Police Chief Lowe is exploring equipping Redmond officers with both body-worn and in-car cameras and will present a proposal to City Council in June. The cost is anticipated to be approximately $815,000 to initiate the program and $635,000 annually to maintain. Please let the City know if you in favor of this program or not.

Parks and Recreation Department Receives Honors

The Redmond Parks and Recreation Department was recently honored by the Washington Recreation and Parks Association. Redmond received the 2020 Spotlight Award for Program Excellence for So Bazaar and the 2020 Spotlight Award for a Park for Downtown Park. Congratulations to our Parks and Recreation team for their exceptional work!

City Finance Department Receives
Award of Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the City of Redmond’s 2020 Community Strategic Plan with the Award for Excellence in Government Finance. GFOA also recognized the City’s Finance Department for its overall contribution to the strategic plan with the Award of Financial Reporting.
