Redmond, WA The City of Redmond has three openings on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). To meet the requirements of Washington State RCW 67.28.1817, the City is recruiting candidates interested in tourism-related activities and who are involved in programs in the City of Redmond authorized to be funded by lodging tax revenue. In addition, one to two of the vacancies will be filled by an individual who represents a business required to collect tax under this chapter, such as a hotel. All positions will serve four-year terms.

The LTAC’s role is to advise the Mayor and Council on options to enhance tourism activities in Redmond, making recommendations on special events matching grants to the City Council and later reviewing the success of those completed events, reviewing proposals from the marketing consultant, and proposing changes to the Tourism Promotion Program. The seven-member volunteer committee meets quarterly, or as needed.

To learn more about LTAC or to apply, please go to www.redmond.gov/Commissions. There is no deadline, but interested individuals are encouraged to apply by 5:00 p.m. on May 15, 2021. The positions will remain open until filled.
