Mayor Birney Presented State of the City Address
Last Thursday, Mayor Birney spoke at the 2020 Virtual State of the City Summit co-sponsored by OneRedmond and City of Redmond. Watch a recording of the presentation to learn about her update on the City's programs, projects, and initiatives as we focus on staying connected as a community.
Now the City’s Project Viewer, available at www.redmond.gov/ProjectViewer, makes it easier for the public to learn about development projects within the City. By clicking on a parcel that is in design or under review, under construction, or complete, visitors can review all associated records and learn about the project.
Redmond is expected to grow over the next few decades in both population and jobs. How should we absorb this growth and still retain the things about Redmond that we treasure? Join us for a virtual community workshop on Wednesday, November 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss these questions with your neighbors, and visit our virtual lobby to share your input. Your feedback will help determine how we grow.
Public Hearing on City’s Draft Budget on November 17
On November 2, the Redmond City Council voted to keep the final public hearing open through their next regular business meeting on November 17. The City of Redmond’s preliminary 2021 – 2022 biennial budget is published at www.redmond.gov/Budget. Review the draft budget and send your comments or questions to bpquestions@redmond.gov. Previous public hearings were held on June 16, October 20, and November 2.
Lime, a private company operating electric scooter share in Redmond, is re-deploying scooters throughout the community the week of November 9. Review scooter FAQ’s, including new COVID-19-related safety tips, at GoRedmond.com/ScooterFAQ or check scooter availability on the Lime app.
