Visit redmond.gov/COVID-19 for helpful resources, updates, recommendations and status of City services. Last week, Governor Inslee announced a pause on any county advancing in the Safe Start plan until at least July 28. Redmond and King County remain in Phase 2 of the Safe Start plan.

Design of New Bike and Pedestrian Connection Begins

Construction of the NE 40th Street Shared Use Path will not begin until 2023. However, over the next several weeks crews will be conducting field surveys including tagging mature trees so that the project can be designed to preserve as many trees as possible.

Road Closed barricade

Note Construction-related Road Closures

The following road closures are associated with construction of the Redmond Technology Station pedestrian bridge. Detours will be in place.

  • Eastbound SR 520 will be closed weeknights July 23-27 between 148th Ave NE and NE 40th St from 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.
  • 156th Ave NE will be closed to through traffic weeknights July 29 - August 7 between NE 31st St and NE 40th St from 9 p.m. - 7 a.m. Local access will be provided.
