Mayor and Council Proclaimed Juneteenth in Redmond

With the help of Council member Forsythe, Mayor Angela Birney and City Council issued a proclamation recognizing June 19, 2020, as Juneteenth in Redmond at Tuesday's City Council meeting, and invited the City and community to join them in committing to take action to address systemic racism in our community.

Council Adopts Resolution In Support Of Small Businesses

Last week, Council adopted a resolution for temporary use permits that will allow small businesses to use adjacent parking, sidewalk and right-of-way spaces to safely accommodate more customers during the Governor’s Safe Start Reopening Plan.

City Buildings Will Re-open in Phase 3

All City facilities will remain closed until King County transitions to Phase 3, per the Governor's Safe Start Reopening Plan. Redmond police, fire and other critical City services are fully operational, and non-essential staff continue to telework while facilities are closed.
