Redmond, WA – To slow the spread of COVID-19 and with guidance from King County Public Health, the City of Redmond is closing all active recreation areas where social distancing guidelines are difficult to maintain. These areas include all sports fields, sports courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and Edge Skate Park.

The City of Redmond’s trails and areas of parks where social distancing can be maintained will remain open. Large gatherings, picnics, or organized group activities will not be permitted. All restrooms remain open to the public and are cleaned and sanitized daily.

As this situation continues to evolve, City staff are working closely with local partners to prepare and respond as necessary. Community members can help protect themselves and others by practicing social distancing and other healthy habits. Stay home and avoid going out in public when you are sick, give six feet of space from others, wash your hands frequently, and avoid contact with people who are sick.
