Redmond, WA – The City of Redmond announces a request for proposals for 2021-22 human services funding. Redmond, as a member of the Human Service Funding Collaborative, is participating in a joint application process with 15 other cities located in King County.

Applications for funding will open on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Human services providers will be able to submit one application to any of the 16 cities online at www.share1app.org. Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

The City of Redmond recognizes the need to support agencies that meet the broad continuum of human service needs and welcomes applications from agencies that provide such services to Redmond residents. Proposals will be reviewed and considered based on the following values:

  • Creates a Welcoming Community: The City of Redmond Human Services Commission is committed to promoting an equitable, diverse, and inclusive community that is focused on ensuring that all residents can fully and effectively access services and feel a sense of safety and belonging.
  • Community-led and Informed Work: We seek to support community-led and community-informed organizations that are reflective of and embedded in the communities they serve.

Three application workshops have been scheduled, and applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one. Times and locations can be found at www.share1app.org. First-time applicants are encouraged to apply and to participate in a workshop, or contact City of Redmond staff, Alaric Bien, at 425-556-2458 or abien@redmond.gov with questions.
