Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Seeks New Member

Redmond, WA – The City of Redmond has an opening on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The City is looking for a candidate interested in tourism-related activities in the City of Redmond to fill a four-year term. To meet the requirements of Washington State RCW 67.28.1817, the vacancy shall be filled by a person who is involved in arts, cultural, historic, or business entities that might benefit from a grant of the tax revenue.
The LTAC’s role is to advise the Mayor and City Council on options to enhance tourism activities in Redmond; making recommendations on special events matching grants to the City Council and later reviewing the success of those completed events; reviewing proposals from the marketing consultant; proposing changes to the Tourism Promotion Program. The seven-member volunteer committee currently meets quarterly, or as needed, at Redmond City Hall.
