Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Seeks New Hotelier Member

Redmond, WA – The City of Redmond has an opening on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). To meet the requirements of Washington State RCW 67.28.1817, the vacancy shall be filled by a person who is a representative of a business required to collect tax under this chapter.
The LTAC’s role is to advise the Mayor and Council on: options to enhance tourism activities in Redmond; recommendations on special events matching grants to the City Council and later reviewing the success of those completed events; proposals from the marketing consultant; and proposed changes to the Tourism Promotion Program.
The seven-member volunteer committee currently meets quarterly, or as needed, at Redmond City Hall. Interested applicants should be willing to fill a four-year term.
