Redmond, WA – The City of Redmond invites community members to learn more about the Redmond Pool improvements project and provide input regarding the next phase of the project. Please join us on October 23, 2019, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the lobby of Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85 Street, Redmond, WA 98052. In addition to the October 23 event, an online open house and survey is available through October 31 at www.LetsConnectRedmond.com/RedmondPool.

The purpose of the open house at City Hall, and the online participation opportunity, is to share progress on the first phase of the work at the pool and hear residents’ thoughts regarding Phase II of the project. Phase I includes new mechanical systems, air handling units, boiler systems, electrical, roof and windows, and improved circulation. The Phase II improvements will include the conceptual design of public spaces within the pool and prioritization of project elements, such as pool decking, lobby and locker room upgrades, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements.

“The Redmond Pool renovations will improve the user experience, the life expectancy of the pool and also increase the sustainability of the facility,” said Redmond Mayor John Marchione. “Community participation in the design and planning process will ensure this space continues to serve our local residents well for many years to come.”

Community input will help inform the proposed design which will be developed and shared at a public meeting scheduled for December 4, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of Redmond City Hall.
