Redmond, WA – Redmond Mayor John Marchione will join with City Councilmembers, Human Services Commissioners, Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC), and others in holding a food drive to benefit Hopelink’s Redmond food bank. This year’s food drive will be on Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22 at the Bella Bottega QFC from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

“This is a great opportunity for our community to support one another,” said Mayor John Marchione. “Help us stock the shelves by donating healthy and wholesome foods that will nourish and feed the members of our community most in need.”

Approximately 600 families live below the poverty level in Redmond. Each month, Hopelink distributes over 47,000 pounds of food in the City of Redmond. Shoppers are encouraged to donate healthy foods such as whole grains, nuts, and dried fruit in addition to staples such as pasta, peanut butter, and canned tuna. Cash donations will also be accepted.
