Redmond, WA – The So Bazaar Night Market returns to Downtown Redmond this August. This evening festival comes to life in the form of a pop-up urban night market from 5 – 10 p.m. on the last three Thursdays in August — August 15, 22 and 29. With roots in the exciting street life throughout Asia, the So Bazaar Night Market transforms Downtown Redmond with performances, art and cuisine in Downtown Park and along the Redmond Central Connector (RCC) trail located between 161st Avenue NE and Leary Way.

“So Bazaar is a signature Redmond experience highlighting the creative energy that makes our community unique,” said Mayor John Marchione. “Be sure to visit all three Thursday evenings of the event, as there is always something new to discover each night of So Bazaar.”

The overarching theme this year is Metamorphosis – Celebrating Downtown Redmond’s transformation and the ever-evolving nature of So Bazaar, including its expansion into Downtown Park. So Bazaar explores Metamorphosis through dance, film, food, music, poetry, and visual art each night focusing on elemental agents of change – air, water, and fire.

August 15 – Air: Breeze through the night with performances by the Fabulous Downey Brothers, Mariachi Ayutla, and Redmond’s brand-new Poet Laureate, Raul Sanchez.

August 22 – Water: Explore the depths of creativity and imagination with performances by The Merfolk, Tomo Nakayama, Emmett Montgomery, and a Sea Shantacular Sing-Along with Rachel Kessler.

August 29 – Fire: Closing out So Bazaar 2019 with fiery performances by Amber Flame, Ok Sweetheart, Chrysalis Circus and more. This night Includes participatory opportunities during a salsa dance workshop with LaVida Dance Studio and a Burning Love Sing-Along with Eva Moon.
