Redmond, WA – King County Housing Authority has been awarded Champion Level EnviroStars business status from the City of Redmond. King County Housing Authority has four properties in Redmond that received Champion level status. All four locations have proven commitment to energy efficiency, pollution prevention, recycling and composting, and water conservation.

The EnviroStars program provides a one-stop hub for businesses to get assistance and recognition for environmentally sustainable actions. EnviroStars links businesses to local programs and incentives that help them take green actions. Participating businesses receive recognition for their efforts that protect their workplace, the community, and environment.

“We are excited to present King County Housing Authority with Champion level EnviroStars status,” said Mayor John Marchione. “We appreciate their leadership. Providing housing choices for the community and keeping the environment clean are two important intentions of the City.”

More information about the EnviroStars program is available at www.Redmond.gov/Recycling and select business.
