Redmond, WA – The community is invited to attend a free Redmond Parks and Recreation Summer Showcase event on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. – noon, at the Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village. The Summer Showcase is a family-friendly celebration of summer recreation activities, camps, and events. Come enjoy free camp and activity demonstrations, a family party zone, a scavenger hunt, a mariachi band performance, free face painting, music, games, prizes, and more.

Redmond Parks and Recreation offers hundreds of camps and activities during the summer, and expanded the number of camps this year to include Camp Redmond, a new full-day option, before and after care, and additional art and clay camps. At the Summer Showcase, parents can meet individually with camp representatives to plan for summer activities, get information on fee assistance and inclusion services, and register for programs.

The Summer Showcase occurs alongside the Beat the Bunny 5K and free kid’s dash, a family-friendly run that starts and finishes at the Redmond Community Center. Onsite registration is available starting at 9 a.m., or advanced signup is available online. The kid’s dash begins at 9:30 a.m., and  the 5K run begins at 10 a.m.

The Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village is located at 6505 176th Ave NE Redmond, WA 98052. Additional information about the Summer Showcase and Beat the Bunny 5K event, including a complete schedule with activities, can be found at Redmond.gov/CommunityCenter.
