Redmond, WA – The City of Redmond is seeking a Youth Advisor for its Human Services Commission. The Commission deals with a broad spectrum of human service issues in Redmond including housing, hunger, health care, counseling, domestic violence, and family support.

The Commission’s role is to advise the Mayor and Council on general human services issues and to make specific funding recommendations as part of the City’s budget process every two years. Youth Advisors should be high school or college-aged, have a strong interest in the issues, a willingness to learn, and the ability to present a youth perspective in all human services decision making. Youth Advisors must either live in or attend school in Redmond.

The Commission meets the second Monday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in the Council Conference Room, Redmond City Hall. All board and commission members are volunteers. Applicants must complete a community service application. The positions are open until filled.
