Redmond, WA – The City is seeking input to assist in developing design guidelines and standards for Marymoor Village at an Open House. The Marymoor Village Visual Preference Survey (www.redmond.gov/MarymoorVillage) is looking for feedback on neighborhood character, design, and architecture for future development.

The Marymoor Visual Preference Survey in-person event will be held at Redmond City Hall located at 15670 NE 85th Street, Redmond, 98052, on November 15, 2018. The community is invited to drop in between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm to look at options for specific character, design, and architecture they wish to see implemented as new development occurs in Marymoor Village. The information and the opportunity to provide feedback will also be available on the City’s website at www.redmond.gov/MarymoorVillage. The Visual Preference Survey is one of several ways the City is seeking input from the community. Outcomes from each of these events and additional project information are also available at www.redmond.gov/MarymoorVillage.

In 2015, the City Council adopted regulations for new development in Marymoor Village. The next step in the process is to develop design standards that reflect the area’s desired character. “Redmond’s Marymoor Village is a unique and changing neighborhood. With the arrival of light rail in 2024, proximity to Marymoor Park, and the current buildings housing an eclectic mix of existing businesses and community organizations, the neighborhood has the opportunity to evolve in a flexible, creative, and innovative way,” said Redmond Mayor John Marchione.

Over the next six months, the City plans to incorporate a variety of inputs into draft design guidelines and standards for amendment to the Redmond Zoning Code. With the City’s Design Review Board, the Planning Commission will review the recommended amendments, hold a public hearing, and make a recommendation to the City Council for review and action during mid-2019.
