Redmond, WA – Despite being a community of affluence, many of our neighbors still struggle to put food on the table. This year, Redmond Mayor John Marchione will join with City Councilmembers, Human Services Commissioners, Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC), and others in holding a food drive to benefit Hopelink’s new Redmond food bank.

This year’s food drive will be on Saturday and Sunday, September 22 & 23 at the Bella Bottega QFC from 10 am to 4 pm each day. Shoppers are encouraged to donate healthy foods such as whole grains, nuts, and dried fruit in addition to staples such as pasta, peanut butter, and canned tuna. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Each month, Hopelink distributes over 47,000 pounds of food in the City of Redmond. Mayor Marchione encourages everyone to “help us stock the shelves by donating healthy, hearty and nutritious foods that will nourish and feed those most in need.”
