Volunteers Needed for Redmond Salary Commission

Redmond, WA – The
Redmond City Council has established by ordinance an independent salary
commission to review and set elected officials’ salaries. Once confirmed, the
Redmond Salary Commission will be sworn into office and meet on a regular basis
starting in early September 2018 with the intention of filing salary
recommendations by November 2018. Appointments are for a two-year term.
The seven-member commission reviews and discusses
current compensation information such as salary, wages, health insurance, allowances,
benefits and other forms of payment commonly received. Redmond residents interested in
serving on the Redmond Salary Commission may submit a letter of interest that
includes their name and contact information and a statement of qualifications
that highlights any relevant experience. The deadline for applications has
been extended by a week. Letters should now be delivered no later than 5:00
p.m. Monday, August 6 to the Human Resources Office at City of Redmond, P.O.
Box 97010, Redmond, WA 98073-9710 or by email to mamatthes@redmond.gov.
