Redmond, WA –  Last night the City Council confirmed Mayor John Marchione’s appointment of Martin Pastucha, as the new public works director for the City of Redmond.

Pastucha comes to Redmond following a 32-year career in local government in California. He served as Director of Public Works in the City of Santa Monica, with previous positions as Director of Public Works in Pasadena and LaHabra. With a combined 18 years of experience at the executive level, he also has vast experience in public works operations, having spent eight years in management and supervisory roles. At the state level, Pastucha served in various leadership roles in the Public Works Division of the League of California Cities, including as president. He represented Public Works Officers on the League Board of Directors. “I am honored to join the City of Redmond and continue to help drive the city’s efforts in maintaining Redmond as a vibrant and welcoming community,” stated Martin Pastucha. “I look forward to working with staff and building on the many successes of the public works department in serving the community of Redmond.”

“Martin’s leadership and extensive public works experience impressed the hiring committee,” states Mayor Marchione. “He will be an asset to the City of Redmond team and I look forward to his assistance in continuing our progress."
