City Releases RFP for 2019-2020 Human Services Funding

REDMOND, WA - The City
of Redmond is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Proposals for
human services funding. Redmond is a member of the Human Service Funders
Collaborative, an alliance of cities in East, North, and South King County that
coordinate a joint, online application process every two years. The
participating cities include Redmond, Auburn, Bellevue, Bothell, Burien,
Covington, Des Moines, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kent, Kirkland, Renton,
Sammamish, SeaTac, Shoreline, and Tukwila. The various human service programs funded by these cities include food
security, housing and homelessness prevention, health, mental health, youth
services, and more.
Human services organizations
seeking 2019-2020 funding from any one or more of these municipalities may
apply online at www.share1app.org. The
application process opens March 5, 2018, and closes by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday,
April 10, 2018. Agencies interested in applying for funds are encouraged to attend
one of the Human Services Funder’s Collaborative Workshops. The workshops will
cover application content, technical details, and city-specific information.
- Workshop 1: Wednesday, March 7, 10:00 a.m.
to noon at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St, Redmond
- Workshop 2: Thursday, March 8, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00
p.m. at Renton City Hall, 1055 S. Grady Way, Renton
Applications will be reviewed by the City of Redmond
Human Services Commission, a 7-member volunteer board appointed by the Mayor
and approved by the City Council. Commission recommendations are expected by
September with consideration by City Council planned for October.
