Port of Tacoma Commission to meet November 19
Port of Tacoma Commissioners on November 19 will hold a public hearing and vote on the 2025 budget and a public hearing and vote on the Port’s comprehensive scheme of harbor improvements. Commissioners will also consider the second reading of a lease for The North West Company, construction authorization for the Port Maritime Center, and interlocal agreements with Tacoma Public Schools. New electric yard truck at the Port
The growing zero-emission fleet at the Port of Tacoma now includes a specialized vehicle that will be used to demonstrate the emerging technology. This fall, the Port’s maintenance department took delivery of an electric yard truck that can tow containers and equipment and service cranes. Read more ⇒

Diary of a Port Biologist: Creatures of the Night
The latest entry in the diary of our intrepid port biologist was a Halloween tale from the swamp, featuring incredible critters and ghosts from the past! Two elusive creatures were finally captured at the Port’s habitat site — on film. A motion-activated trail camera hidden in the swamp caught the creatures as they emerged from the shadows.
