Important funding passed by state legislature
Last week, the Washington state legislature unanimously passed the 2022 supplemental capital budget, which included $2 million funding for the Port of Tacoma to construct an Off Dock Container Yard, increasing terminal capacity by 20% and making it easier to load and unload vessels.
The state legislature also passed the "Move Ahead Washington" package, which included key funding for work on the I-5/Port of Tacoma Road Interchange and the completion of State Route 167. Read more ⇒

Employee highlight: Amanda Beers
Amanda Beers is an Accounting Technician for the Port of Tacoma. She handles billing for the Port’s intermodal yards and Wallenius breakbulk operations.
Amanda has been with the Port for more than two years and says she enjoys the people and seeing all the cool things that happen here. In her free time Amanda enjoys baking, reading and hiking.

Save the Date: Daffodil Marine Parade
Every year, the Tacoma Yacht Club hosts the Daffodil Royalty and dozens of other yachts and marine vessels in the Daffodil Marine Parade. One of the best ways to view the parade is to attend the Tacoma Waterfront Association's celebration on Sunday, April 24th at 11:30am at the Foss Harbor Marina. Winter Wellness Challenge is Complete
48 employees sign up for the Wellness Challenge, and 20 people (42%) completed the challenge. These 20 valiant employees traversed a combined total of 5,631 miles!
