Printer Optimization Program: Starting to come online

As we move forward with the Printer Optimization Program (POP), we expect to begin putting the new KPI Plotter in service this week. The new Canon printers will arrive the week of December 6. IT has scheduled training for the KPI Plotter for Wednesday this week. Training on the Canon printers will be next week. Find out more.


Expect lane closures on I-5 starting Thursday night

WSDOT

WSDOT says travelers planning to use Interstate 5 through Tacoma overnight on Dec. 2-4 will want to plan ahead and take alternate routes to avoid delays. Read more about the planned lane closures: https://bit.ly/3o4DLeL

Welcome to the team, Kevin Carpenter

Kevin Carpenter

Kevin Carpenter started at the Port on Nov. 16, 2021, as Sr. IT Project Manager. Kevin has more than 25 years of experience leading projects and programs of varying complexities, including working in key roles for PACCAR and Monsanto. Most recently he was the Director, Asset Management Programs for DECISIV, INC. He earned a B.S.in Computer Science with a MIS concentration from Washington State University and received a Project Management Professional certification from PMI.


Employee spotlight: Jennifer Dalbec

Dalbec

Jennifer Dalbec is the Port’s Payroll Technician. Jennifer processes the semi-monthly payroll for NWSA and Port of Tacoma, reconciles and processes third party payments and is our ADP and E-time subject matter expert. She has been at the Port for four years and says the favorite parts of her job are the people she works with and the variety of things she does. For fun, she enjoys gardening, cooking, kayaking and traveling.
