The next meeting of the Governor’s Southern Resident Orca Task Force will take place on Tuesday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Wenatchee, WA: 

 

  • Location: The meeting will be held at The Confluence Technology Center, 285 Technology Center Way, Wenatchee WA. Directions to the venue are available at https://ncwctc.com/contact-map/directions/.

  • Agenda: when available, will be posted on the Task Force Website. (Most of the meeting will involve discussions of potential actions and draft recommendations.)

  • Meals: A buffet lunch will be served for Task Force Members, facilitators, and staff. Other attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

  • Sound the Alarm for Orcas: At noon, The Orca Salmon Alliance will present Task Force Co-Chairs, Stephanie Solien and Les Purce, with 43,000 signatures of support for orca recovery.

  • Broadcast: TVW, Washington’s public affairs network, currently plans to broadcast the proceedings live online. After the meeting, the broadcast will be available in the TVW archives. Please check the TVW website for more information.

 

This meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to provide comment and learn about the effort to recover Southern Resident orcas.
