On Saturday, April 27 our friends at Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) kick off their 2019 Trout Fishing Derby, which runs through Oct. 31. The Fishing Derby is happening at lakes all across the state, including in 11 state parks.
Catch one of 1,000 tagged fish that are being stocked in more than 100 lakes, and you could win a fabulous prize!

Washington State Parks is proud to announce the launch of its Park Rx program, in time for National Park Rx Day on April 28. More than a dozen state parks will participate by offering special activities.
Washington State Parks is looking to help more people enjoy the outdoors and improve their health. The nonprofit organization Park Rx America and State Parks are working with healthcare providers across Washington to prescribe nature to patients as part of a healthcare regimen.
