 This summer, our Folk and
Traditional Arts Program welcomes back the merrymakers of America’s only
traveling Chautauqua for a three-week run of education and fun! The New Old
Time Chautauqua (say cha-TAWK-wah) sensation will roll out to six spectacular
parks on a tour of Washington’s beautiful lands and small towns, from the
desert to the mountains to the sea.
Read more about it on our Adventure Awaits blog.

 We are looking for volunteer
survey takers to help conduct surveys of our visitors at state parks in eastern
Washington this summer. Survey schedules are flexible based on volunteer
availability within the dates we are surveying at each park.
Volunteers who surveyed visitors
last summer enjoyed the experience of meeting many new and different people.
The survey will help us better
understand our visitors so we can
improve customer service and park offerings.
Volunteers will be issued iPads with software to conduct surveys and will be trained. Surveys generally take visitors less
than five minutes to complete.
Interested? Find out where and
when surveys are scheduled and sign up here. We will follow up with you to
provide the information and support you need to be a visitor survey taker.
Questions? Please email,
Cory Jeon, Volunteer Coordinator, at cory.jeon@parks.wa.gov.
