Celebrate Earth Day at state parks

Earth Day is on April 22 and Washington State Parks & Recreation Commission invites you to participate in one of the many Earth Day events and activities hosted at several western Washington state parks. Events and locations include:


  • Cape Disappointment State Park, North Beach state parks and Twin Harbors State Park: Washington Coast Cleanups - Saturday, April 23
  • Mount St. Helens Visitor Center: Ranger talks and guided hikes - Friday, April 22
  • Central Whidbey Island State Parks: Underwater Junior Ranger Earth Day - Saturday, April 23 
  • Friends of Fort Worden Trail Team Celebrate Earth Day - Saturday, April 23 
  • Lake Sammamish State Park: Earth Week Restoration Volunteer Work Party - Saturday, April 23 
  • Lake Sammamish State Park: Keep Issaquah Beautiful Volunteer Event - Saturday, April 23 
  • Saltwater State Park: Earth Day Fair - Friday, April 29
  • Kopachuck State Park: Parks Appreciation Day - Saturday, April 23 
  • Deception Pass State Park: Planting and Celebration at Bowman Bay - Friday, April 22
  • Rockport State Park: various programs all day - Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23
  • Larrabee State Park: Cache In, Trash Out Geocache Event - Friday, April 22
