Are you resolved to ring in the New Year with some outdoor fun? Here’s a way to start things off on the right foot! More than two dozen Washington state parks—and state parks all over the country—are hosting First Day Hikes on Jan. 1. Many first day events will be  guided walks or tours, provided by rangers or volunteers, in a variety of settings. Ever tried fat biking in the snow? How about a winter beach walk? Feel like strapping on some snowshoes? Interested in learning more about how nature recovers from wildfire? Looking for a family-friendly walk? We’ve got all these and more! The calendar features brilliant color photos that represent some of Washington's premier and unique parks and measures at 14 inches by 9.875 inches (closed) and 14 inches by 19.75 inches (open). Calendars are priced at just $18.50 plus tax and are available for purchase online through the State Parks website or at myprint.wa.gov where customers should enter "calendar" in the search area to find it.
