One Week! Online Approval Application Launches March 3
The Online Private School Approval Application for the 2026–27 school year launches on March 2. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth and speedy application process:
Gather Required Documents: All schools will upload a Certificate of Compliance. Schools employing six or more non-Washington state certificated main classroom or subject area teachers will upload a Staffing Report.
Identify Your Login Credentials Renewing schools will need the Head of School email address and school building code(s) to log into the application. Check the Approval Application Status Tracker on the Private School Approval webpage to confirm the information the SBE has on file for your school.
Check Your Records All schools will need to report the year of the most recent environmental health and fire inspections. New schools and schools that have recently moved or been renovated will need to upload the inspection paperwork.
Note:Each campus of your school will require a separate Renewing Private School Approval Application. Use the corresponding School Building Code to log in for each campus. If your school has a campus at a second mailing address that is not yet approved, please complete a New School Application for that campus location.
