The State Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting virtually on September 4 via Zoom.
The Board will start the meeting with a vote to approve schools recommended by staff as being in compliance with the minimum instructional program of basic education for the 2025–26 school year. Afterwards, the Board is expected to confirm its newest student member, Abby Wu, a senior at Pullman High School.
In the afternoon, members will continue their discussion on priorities for the Board’s 2026 legislative platform. A final version of the platform will be considered at the October meeting. To conclude the meeting, the Board is expected to vote on two administrative agency budget requests for the 2026 legislative session. The first would provide funding to support the Board's IT needs and the other would help the Board meet growing public records demands and address rising administrative costs
