CORRECTION: Reminder - Private School Approval Certificates

You may have received an email from the Board earlier today that included incorrect information about when approval certificates were sent to Heads of Schools. We’re following up to correct that error and to share a NEW way for you to access your certificate.

How to Get Your Approval Certificate

If your school was approved at the Board’s June meeting, an email was sent to your Head of School on Monday, July 14 with the subject line:

Your Private School Approval Certificate – Washington State Board of Education.

That message includes:

A link to download a PDF or image of your approval certificate

Access to a digital badge for your website

NEW: If You Are a New Head of School or Cannot Locate the Email

The Board has created an alternative way to access your certificate using the Private School Approval Certificate Lookup List. Download the list using the button below. It contains all approved private schools and links to each certification page.

Please Note: The list is current as of July 14. If you’re accessing it at a later date, please visit the Private School Approval webpage for the most up-to-date version.

Still Waiting for Approval?

To be considered for approval at the Board's August 14 meeting, all missing application materials must be submitted by July 31.
