A few updates to the 2024-25 Guide to Offering ALE are:
- Reference to school board policy authorization for ALE in the Requirements to Claim Enrollment section.
- Updated and expanded guidance regarding Records Retention.
- New section regarding Transition to Kindergarten.

This September and October, OSPI is hosting a series of Listen & Learn sessions for school staff, families, and community partners to learn about the upcoming statewide transition to a universal High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) platform. Registration is required for all participants attending these sessions. Register using the HSBP Listen & Learn Registration Link, or by scanning the QR code on the flyer below.

ALE & Learning Options Office Hours:
School staff with questions regarding ALE implementation, compliance, choice transfers, online learning, reporting requirements, and more are invited to drop in for one-on-one office hours. We will meet individually with as many attendees as possible. Please remain in the waiting room until you are admitted to the meeting. Once admitted, be ready to share a short summary of your question. We will then move you to a breakout room with the program staff best able to answer your question.
ALE & Learning Options office hours will be held on the third or fourth Friday of each month from 9 am–10 am.
Multidistrict Online School Program and Course Provider Application Office Hours:
School district or course provider staff with questions regarding the multidistrict online school program and/or course provider application are invited to drop in for one-on-one office hours. We will meet individually with as many attendees as possible. Questions are answered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remain in the waiting room until you are admitted to the meeting.
Multidistrict Online School Program and Course Provider Application office hours will be held on the third or fourth Friday of each month from 10 am–11 am.

If your program is interested in applying for a Multi-District Online School Program approval, please review our application resources and submit your Intent to Apply by Friday, November 1.
