Did you notice the new learning cadres on the state-level annual calendar?
The CSCP team at OSPI is tentatively planning to host three (3) separate quasi-monthly project-based learning cadres focused on District Leaders, Career Development, and Small/Rural LEAs during the 2023-24 school year. The meetings would be 90 minutes each month and with a goal to offer free clock hours.

OSPI will be preparing for the future launch of the Universal HSBP platform during the 2024-25 school year. The platform will launch in phases with the current earliest launch phase projected for Fall 2025, dependent on the level of funds appropriated in the 2025-27 state budget. Launch preparation and planning will begin once OSPI finalizes the contract with SchooLinks, the Apparent Successful Bidder for the platform.
Preparation for the launch will include developing student information system and data integration plans, ensuring the current SchooLinks platform is customized to be Washington’s Universal Platform, and developing the implementation and training plan for school districts.
Stakeholder involvement and feedback will take place in the 2024-25 school year through the development of Advisory Councils to support OSPI platform launch preparation, through statewide regional listening and learning tours being held September – October, and through regional conference presentations beginning in August 2024. Information about each of these opportunities for stakeholder involvement along with monthly updates will also be posted on the OSPI HSBP Webpage and sent through OSPIs Comprehensive School Counseling Program Newsletter.
