Register Now for the Strengthening Tribal Consultation Training!

Our next Strengthening Tribal Consultation training will be on Tuesday, November 7, 3:00–6:00pm at the House of Awakened Culture in Suquamish. Please contact Emme Williamson to register.

This will be the last training of the calendar year for this area! There is no virtual option for this session.

Senate Bill 5252 states that beginning September 1, 2024, school board members, superintendents, and any other staff at school districts that are required to perform Tribal consultation under Title VI of the federal ESSA (P.L. 114-95, 20 U.S.C. Sec. 1001 et seq., 20 U.S.C. 6301 et seq.) must take and certify completion of the 3-hour Strengthening Tribal Consultation training focusing on:

Native Student Identification 
Data Sharing 
Implementation of Tribal history, culture and government – Since Time Immemorial

Additional trainings are being planned for School Year 2023–2024 and will be posted on our Tribal Consultation webpage and sent out to this email list as they become available.

ALL STUDENTS PREPARED FOR POST-SECONDARY PATHWAYS, CAREERS, AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT.
