An annual meeting or conference can serve as a check-in to loop administrators into your plans and goals for the school year. It provides a chance for mutual understanding in regard to assigned tasks, data collection, and supporting school improvement plans (SIP).
Completing an annual administrator conference or check-in is a best practice. Promoted by ASCA to support a successful counselor-administrator working relationship, this tip is also applicable for Open Doors staff and their leadership.

The Open Doors Summit, happening October 26-27 at the SeaTac DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, is open for registration.
Like a conference, but different
The Summit centers Open Doors Youth Reengagement, especially Open Doors structures, practices, and findings from the recent Community Partnerships for Reengagement Initiative. There will be multiple sessions to attend and lots of opportunity to reflect on program implementation. Unlike a conference, where outside inspiration or outside strategies share the stage, the Open Doors Summit is 100% focused on understanding what Open Doors Youth Reengagement presently is, how it works, and what we may support it to become in the future.
Registration is limited to two (2) people per program location.
Expect announcements and emails from Lena Fox (lena.fox@ednw.org)
