If your program is interested in applying for a Multi District Online School Program approval, please review our application resources and submit your Intent to Apply by November 1.
The approval application website includes the resources and information on the application process.
School staff with questions regarding ALE implementation and compliance are invited to drop in for one-on-one office hours with Liz Quayle, Alternative Learning Accountability program manager.
We will meet one-on-one with as many attendees as time allows.
Office hours will be held on the fourth Friday of each month through May.

Any school district claiming ALE enrollment for state funding is required to submit an ALE Year End Report. This report is now available for districts that reported ALE enrollment during 2022-23. The August 31 deadline is quickly approaching.

The Guide to Offering ALE has been updated for the 2023-24 school year and is available on the ALE website.
A list of all the updated sections can be found on page 8 and a history of previous versions of the document is located on page 102.
OSPI shifted learning management platforms over the summer and the ALE 101 course previously located in Moodle can now be found in Canvas. To access the course, visit the Canvas website to self-enroll.
WALA Fall Workshops
Register for one of the fall workshops hosted by WALA to:
- Reconnect with ALE partners;
- Get updates on new events/information in ALE from districts/regions/OSPI;
- Participate in an interactive activity appropriate for your region;
- Share purposeful experiences/celebrations/outcomes in all ALE aspects.

 Workshops provide professional development for school counselors, career center specialist, HSBP coordinators, navigators and case managers, and those in college-access work.
Held in-person and virtually, there will be updates from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), The State Board of Education (SBE), State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC), Council of Presidents (COP), Independent Colleges of Washington (ICW) and the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC), as well as from our public and private four-year institutions and community and technical colleges.
