Re-Envisioning Truancy in Washington

Tell Us Your Story: Student and Youth Input Needed

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) invites you to share your thoughts and experiences on how we can make the truancy system better in Washington state.

OSPI cares about what you have to say.

If you or someone in your family has experienced unexcused absences, a truancy petition, or a community engagement board, we want to hear from you. We want to hear your ideas so we can make changes to the rules and policies on how truancy is handled.

As a part of the OSPI Re-Envisioning Truancy Project, we are looking to hear from students and families with lived experience of the truancy process. After filling out a short interest form, selected students will receive a $45 gift card for helping OSPI understand the impact of the truancy process.
