2023 - 2024 Approval Applications Due This Month
Online approval applications for new and renewing schools are due April 28, 2023.
Note that existing private schools opening an additional campus will use the 2023 - 2024 New Private School Application.
Below you’ll find additional information about the approval processes:
Applications will be accepted through April 28th.
Thank you to each of the many schools that submitted an 2023 - 2024 Renewing Private School Application. On April 13, the State Board of Education will review and vote to approve the first group of applications that have been reviewed.
The board will meet again in June and will review and vote to approve all remaining approval applications.
Certificates of Approval for the 2022 - 202 available for download in the week following each board meeting. Certificates are posted as a bundle. You will be able to download and print your school’s certificate by scrolling through or using “ctrl-F”.
The Certificate of Approval demonstrates to the public that you are a private school approved by the State of Washington.
NEW! An official State Board of Education Web Badge is available to approved private schools. The Web Badge is a small image for your website to indicate that you are an approved private school. Please contact the private schools manager for your badge.
Please try a different web browser if you are not able to download or upload the 2023 - 2024 Staffing Report or the Certificate of Compliance. Many users have issues with Google Chrome.
