At the November 2022 meeting, the Board adopted its 2023 legislative platform (download the PDF). It includes descriptions of requests and focuses on three priorities:
- Support the whole child to create the conditions needed for learning
- Enhance relevance and personalization of the student learning experience
- Expand and strengthen opportunities for powerful learning
The Board's requests to the legislature reflect these focus priorities. This session, the Board may sign in "pro" and testify on behalf of bills that promote these focus priorities. We will keep our web page up-to-date as session progresses: sbe.wa.gov/waleg.
