Why is this important?
The Enrollment Reporting window opens next month. You may recall that your Head of School email address is your username to log in to the report.
If your Head of School has changed since you submitted your 2022-2023 Approval Application and you have not already done so, please submit a Private School Change of Information Form by the end of business day, Friday, September 23.
You may also use the Change of Information Form to notify the State Board of Education of changes at your school regarding the school’s physical address.
-
Username: To log in, you will use the email address of your Head of School submitted on your 2021-2022 approval application.
-
Password: Your school's Building Code.
If you miss the deadline, simply use your previous Head of School email to log into your Enrollment Report, and we will update your records after November 15.
The Washington State Board of Education annually collects private school enrollment data.
The official count day for private schools is October 3, 2022. The enrollment data you provide should reflect the official school enrollment as of that date. An online reporting form will be available on October 4, 2022.
Please provide responses to all of the required questions and submit your school enrollment data before the close of business on November 15, 2022.
- To help you prepare for and expedite reporting, check our website next week on Monday the 26th for a downloadable Excel Enrollment Worksheet for you to complete prior to filling out the online form. This is only a tool, and not required, but it should enable you to transfer your data in fifteen minutes or less.
- Note that your Early Learning enrollment is not included in your total enrollment, which should reflect K-12 students only.
NOTE: If you have difficulty downloading the worksheet, it is likely a browser issue, particularly if you are using Google Chrome. Please try a different browser if you have trouble.

But first, we need name suggestions from Washington students for our new Instagram Real Seal. Students can submit their ideas, or educators can do this for them by emailing sbe@k12.wa.us. After a state-wide vote and an SBE Selection Committee consultation, the student or class that has submitted the winning name will get:
- A pizza party for their class, courtesy of our Executive Director
- A visit to a classroom of their choice from State Board delegates, and the seal of course (whenever timing is not disruptive)
- A feature of your classroom in the State Board's newsletter, and highlights across all official social media channels
- Bragging rights that you named the official SBE seal
On our visit, we'd love to learn more about what your students are experiencing at school. We can also share about our state's education system and how state policy works. The deadline for our seal's naming contest is September 30. Details can be found here: sbe.wa.gov/seal. Share our posts about this on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn.
