What have we learned about graduation pathway options?
The three-year graduation pathway options research project was designed to gather both quantitative and qualitative data to give the State Board of Education and legislature an overview of feedback about graduation pathway options (from students, educators, the education community at-large, and Washington families). So far, respondents have asked for changes, and more personalized options. Read more about what we found the first and second years we surveyed and held focus groups.
To give the clearest picture of what's happening in schools, we need feedback to complete our third year of research. It is important that recent high school graduates can tell us about their experience now that they have been out of high school for a short time. Please share this survey with them and members of your community. It closes July 1.

SBE staff are reviewing Basic Education submissions from school districts for the 2022-23 school year on a rolling basis and will continue to do so until all school districts are deemed to be in compliance. Please review the certification status of your school district or LEA on this list: districts in and out of compliance.
If your school district completed the basic education submission and is not on the list of tentatively compliant school districts, your submission has one or more issues that need to be addressed before the Board considers formal certification. Learn more on the Basic Education Compliance page. Questions? Contact us at sbe@k12.wa.us.
