Meeting: private schools, graduation requirements, legislative session

SBE will host a meeting January 19-20 to discuss private schools, graduation requirements, charter schools, and legislative session. On January 19 at 11:00 a.m., three new members will be sworn-in. Two returning members will also be affirmed. Find the agenda and supporting materials online.

Students testify on vote

This past week, students from different high schools in Washington and the Board's two student members testified to the Legislature in support of Senate Bill 5497. SB 5497 gives student Board members voting rights on the Board.
