We Want Your Opinion on Youth Pandemic Supports! Graduation A Team Effort (GATE) Advisory Dec 14 9-12pm. Dr. John Gaines

What is the Graduation Team Effort (GATE) Advisory Committee??

The Graduation A Team Effort (GATE) Partnership Advisory Committee includes important youth and family-serving agencies and organizations, legislators, and education professionals. This committee works to provide recommendations and reduce barriers related to the development and implementation of an engagement and reengagement system.

The Legislature established the Building Bridges program and workgroup in 2007 to keep all students visible and on track to graduate from high school. The state's ongoing student engagement and reengagement efforts are based on the recommendations of the Building Bridges Workgroup. December Meeting

Tuesday, December 14, 2021 | 9:00-12:00pm

We’re excited to invite you to join our next Graduation A Team Effort (GATE) Advisory meeting on December 14 from 9:00-12:00pm.

We want your input! In this year that’s been so full of change, we’ll be collecting your feedback on how we can work together to support youth through the continued COVID-19 Pandemic, the barriers you’re seeing, and to get fresh insight into what policy changes and resource allocation you'd like our legislature to consider in the upcoming session to address the needs you've been seeing.

At this meeting we’ll have OSPI Deputy Superintendent Michaela Miller with us to kick off the meeting as well as Dr. John Gaines to share his inspiring mentoring work with Push for Dreams that’s been happening with Geno Munoz at Hilltop Heritage Middle School.

Please invite youth serving colleagues who’d like to add their voices to the conversation. Hope to see you there!
